  • Domestic TSA acceptance at 50 Real-ID checkpoints

General availability (Months 18–30)

  • Online enrollment opens to all eligible citizens
  • Online renewal pipeline expanded to digital-first issuance
  • 30+ countries accept SecureID at eGates
  • Reduced fees for digital-only credential ($30 vs $130)

Paper sunset (Months 30–36+)

  • Paper passport becomes opt-in backup only
  • Consular emergency replacements drop 80%+
